I put new rear bearing plates and rear struts on my 2g awd. Just some OEM replacements. The old ones were soo rusted nothing was really saved. Had to buy a new bushing and sleve from autozone.
Went for a ride around the block and now the top of the struts are sticking through the bearing plates. There is nothing holding the top of the strut down. What did I forget or miss? Anyone have a pic of what I need or a pic of the assembly? I need to fix this asap.
Or a pic on capps. Since I don't have it on my work pc.
Thanks

, how hard is it to put on a strut right? I ended up having the same problem as you where the top of the struts were sticking up through the trunk because there was nothing to hold it there. So I tore it back apart, and come to find out I had assembled the new struts wrong. Its kind of hard to explain, but the top shaft of the strut was tapered at the end and there was a thick washer that had to be installed over the taper before the strut slid up and in from underneath the car. Thats not a very good explanation I know, sorry if I didn't help out any.
