[RESOLVED] Need help identifying the turbo flange

I need a gasket for this turbo and not sure which flange it uses. The dimensions are 4.25" long and 2.5" wide with the holes being 3.5" apart lenght wise and 2" width wise. So is there a way you could tell me if this is a T3/T4 flange or just a T3? Thanks

The holes on a T3 flange are 1.75x3.38" apart. The holes on a T4 flange are 2.75x3.25" apart. Maybe it's a MHI flange? What kind of turbo is it?

I bet it's one if those PTE turbine housings flanged for an MHI turbo then. I don't have MHI turbo flange specs to confirm though...

Do you know of anyone that i can pm and ask bc I am starting to put it back together and it did not come with a gasket and the manifold was leaking there, so I want to put a gasket in.

Thanks guys I took it to a machinist and he had a little T4 laying around so we tried it and it fits like a glove so I am guessing thats what it is then! Thanks for trying thou!

Crap now I have another issue! I just received my Cometic Headgasket, but it's for .040 (88.5mm) and mine is only bored out .020. Would it still work or should I sent it back?

for a block bored .020 over, you should be usign a stock MLS gasket.

Well the T4 did not work, just going to cut it out of exhaust gasket material

OK guys I ended cutting my own gasket with exhaust gasket material, well that only lasted a few months! Leaking really bad right now and I still need help figuring it out. I know its not a T3 or T4. Take a picture of the turbo and post it up. maybe even with a ruler by it to show scale.

Ajax, The flange on that manifold is a t3 flange. There is no such thing as a t3/t4 flange. A t3/t4 turbo is a hybrid turbo with a t3 exhaust flange. You can buy a gasket for it very easy.

Yeah sorry guys but yes it was a T3!Good call Selmarguy!! Yeah the kid at the part store looked at the one I cut and said it looked similar to a old style transam or firebird and he pulled one if the shelf and it worked! Took awhile to figure out but now I know!

DO you have the part number or the application it's from so i can go get a new one? THe people at teh parts stores here are retarded when it comes to knowing about car parts. If i asked for a number 3, no pickle, no onion supersized with a coke they'd know exactly what i needed, as they should still be working at McDonlads mostly

It would be good info to archive in the thread for further use by future members when searching and it would help me solve a leak i have
