Ok first thing is first, i was trying to tap the two holes for the jpipe on my compressor housing, and i broke the tap inside one of the holes., so whats the best way to get that out, and also whats the best way to tap the compressor housing, It looks like i need to drill that out and go from there, But i dont want no shafings from the aluminum to get into the compressor housing. So someone please help me out. I need this car running. Which it hasnt been very much.

make sure the drill bit shank matches the tap. Turn slowly 2 forward 1 back, etc I suppose oil would help but I never think of that until its too late. Not sure how to remove broken drill bits and taps. Sure can't drill those out with another bit. Better try to remove it, or seal it off and drill elsewhere? maybe not, uhh anyone know?

ok brainstorm.. The taps usually have 4 ribs down the shank, so if you could stick two slim nails down the sides and turn with plyers maybe you could get the leverage. Sounds easier in my head, heh

Heating it up might help and somehow get a grip on it and pull it out. Maybe make a slot for a flat head and heat it up really nice , then try to take it out.

I got really really lucky, i went out and bought real real needle noise pliers and went at it, it took me a little while but i finally got it, I was so happy. I hope putting this gasket i am supposed to be waiting for will help my boost leaks. Also i was able to thread in the bolt, So i broke the tap but still managed to tap it LOL.. Its great.

ALWAYS USE MOTOR OIL OR WD-40 WHEN TAPPING.Anything is better than nothing.

Lubrication is your friend, even removing the tap would be easier with some slickness but I'm glad you got it out.I have almost 4 yrs machine shop experience and have seen some pretty hard to remove taps...you sure got lucky!
