Okay so I drove home from work and everything was fine. I park the car, shut it off and go inside my house. About two hours later I go to start the car and all i get is a "click" then everything goes dead ( Dash lights, interior lights...everything). So i turn the key again and I only get about half a "click".WTF

I checked all the fuses, they were all good. I check the battery with a volt meter and it reads 12.6 V. I cleaned the battery cables and the battery posts. Also none of the lights turn on (headlights, gauges, interior lights) PLEASE HELP!

Are you sure that the car battery isn't dead?? That sure sounds like a dead battery. Mine just died tonight and when you try to turn the car over it just clicks. Maybe use a battery charger just to see how much charge there is in the battery.

Are you sure you didnt pop an alternator fuse? Sounds almost like a bad connection if your battery is in fact testing good, have you checked the alternator itself?

How do i go about testing the alternator? Where is the alternator fuse? I didn't see any thing labled as the alternator fuse when i was checking the fuses.

edit: I just had the battery checked at kragen and they said it was good.

Turns out the wire terminals were no good...changed both of them and the car started right up.:thumb:
