I am wanting to get rid of some of the wires in the engine harness that runs along the fire wall in the engine bay. I can provide pics if needed but I just want to know what wires I don't need at aoll and cut out or move inside and out of the way.

Better leave that harness alone, for it's not really hurting anything being in there - the main core of that harness runs to the ECU.

Plus the ends that are attached, go to something important for the ECU to recognize and the harness also contains necessary, electrical connections.

^^^ what he said.

Unless you want to totally rebuild/reroute the harness (which you don't unless you are a complete masochist), just leave it like it is. You won't gain much by removing the few wires you can, and if you ever need to return the car to stock wiring for some reason it will be a PITA.

I did a complete rebuild on mine and rerouted it, and I'm definitely not in a hurry to ever do it again. And that was with the engine bay stripped.

+1 dont start hackng things up. If you want to make it look better dress up the engine bay with some colored 'Rope Snake'. It will just lead to headache and heartbreak down the road, I cant see anything good coming from cutting anything off.

I'm also considering doing this. From what I hear, a good tuck job will take at least a few days if you stay 100% dedicated. A complete tuck/rewiring job will take at least a full week, with significant help and an engine pull. But the results will blow people away and get you major kudos.

Most of those electrical connectors were just thrown in because the manufacturer makes more off selling them than they do from actually building cars. They love to invent and wire-up bogus circuits that don't actually do anything but bring in profits.

I suppose you could invest in a shop manual, or perhaps stumble across the link to the free ones elsewhere on this site.
