If i take out ac and power steering, am i going to get check engine light? (i want to make sure i don't because i have to pass my emmision when i registered it.)

Give me a second...resisting the urge...

No.

That's the answer to your question.

Just wondering, why would you want to take A/C and Power Steering out of a 420a?

Less weight= take off more (faster)
I just take some pound off the car.
420a is going be sweating for 2g weight so be smart about it.
For example, Do you want to run faster? Lose some weight.:thumb:

You won't notice a difference.

It requires 100 lbs to drop just a 1/10th off a quarter mile and rumor has it 10 hp to feel a difference in power (though I have never seen someone accurately butt dyno a 10 hp difference). Neither of which you will accomplish by this.

+111 on this.

Not trying to sound like a douche here or anything, but in my opinion it's just not worth losing luxuries of Air Conditioning and Power Steering for the almost non-existent gains.

If your looking for "faster", your in the wrong platform.

you could be right but u don't know that because you have 4g63 motor and it strong enough for your 2g to pull to drive. 420a is not strong as 4g63 motor so it smart to take the pound off and fat off the car, it will be a lot better for 420a to pull to handle to drive. Im sure i will feel the different. im not trying to be mean, im just saying.

Nice your 2g is beautiful but I street race so i drive better without power steering because it more control to stay straight on high speed.

Dude your honestly wasting your time with this. All the components together probably weigh as much as your spare tire. Just take that out!

*Major face palm*

First of all, street racing is something that's frowned upon here. Second, I drove my ESi for about 2 months with no A/C equipment in the car at all, until recently last week. Guess what? Power was about the same, no difference at all. Except now I can arrive to places without having a sweaty back.

Someone will have to elaborate on this for me, cause this makes NO sense at all. Parking in tight corners are going to be fun. I drove a pickup for a year with no power steering, hated it.

but I ****** race

Again, if your looking for speed, your in the wrong platform. The only thing you should be looking for in reducing your weight for your car, is MPG's.
