Ok so I guess what I'm looking for here is for someone to just go over my situation and tell me if I am approaching it correctly.
I was accelerating from a stop light, ~50% throttle, when my car just cut out in first gear at about 20mph. No really strange noises, just stopped running.
When I go to crank the engine, it doesn't even try to start up. It turned over fine, but did not start at all. I checked the cam gears and the timing is off 2 teeth there.
My game plan right now is that I have a timing belt, tensioner and pully kit, and a balance shaft belt ready to go on. I'm hoping that I didn't bend any valves, and I know its a crapshoot, but what do you think my chances are of just being able to re-do the timing and having everything turn out okay? Also, is there anything I should be doing right now other than what I listed?
Thanks in advance.
