jumped cam gears

heys guys, i got some bad news....my car (92 Laser AWD) was flatbedded to my house from a friends today and the douchebags didnt wait for me to give them the keys and they dragged it up the flatbed in gear. when it got to my house i was furious . when ichecked the timing marks on the cam gears i saw that they moved a bunch. how bad does this mess up the head and the rest of the vavletrain? could it have messed somethin up in the driveline too?? am i lookin at a top end rebuild?? please give me any feedback and any possabilities, that coulda happened.\\\

I would go to the owner of the towing comany about this before you try to start it up. If that was mine they better get a restraining order on me becuse they would have problems. You may also want to look at getting a layer involved if nessasary. They are at falt for any damage done wile in there posestion getting it on the truck and while being towed its there resonsibility.

Maybe I am missing something but I don't see how pulling it onto a flatbed in gear could cause the timing to slip. This is no different than roll starting a car. First I would recheck your marks. Also check the belt tension.
Why were they towing it?
