My friend just did my timing.. and when i started the car it idle but didn't idle right.. my other friend checked the timing on my cam gears and there off about 4-5 teeth.. are my valves bent??

you would know if valves are bent u would hear the valves hit the pistons.did u hear any knocking sound or load ping sound? :laser:

I doubt that your timing is off by 4-5 gear teeth. If it were, I don't think it would be running at all. I once had my 1G jump timing by 5 teeth and it bent all the valves, destroyed the rocker arms and put dents in all the pistons. Check the compression.

If you bent a valve you'd know right away. I had burnt a hole a 1/4 round in one of my valves and that cylinder lost all compresion and was useless. If you bent even 1 valve you would have similar results.

the guy that did your belt is a retard.... I can see being off by 1 tooth but that's why you double check it before you put it all together again.... Do a compression check and see.
