wow this thread has really driven itself off course, we went from me replacing my head to preventative maintinence and removing the balance shafts to how u gain power and reliability from removing them.
...

I don't want to get involved with any cat fights around here and no matter how much you may or may not have spent on this engine it obviously wasn't enough to prevent the timing belt from breaking.

While you may not agree with what is being said there are ways to present you ideas without taking jabs at others who might just know something usefull. If you doubt my qualifications read my posts and profile. Nobody gets paid around here to help you out, and if you are bent on self destruction watch this thread go cold.
.............

With that in mind it would be helpful if you had some picts of the head you received.

Cheers,
GTM

The majority of 4G63 heads we see in our shop need resurfacing. They tend to twist .004-.006" (usually the cause for oil leaks in the pressure passage) and warp lengthwise. Also, aluminum heads tend to "pocket warp" that does not always show with a straight edge. Ask your shop to take as little as possible during resurfacing.

take it easy bro i was just playin, i'm not like freakin out here i'm enjoying the extra information cause i'm learnin a lot about balance shafts here. I was just playin around dont trip, i'll try and get my camera workin to take some pics of the new head i got, i can almost gurantee it will need some machine work, i have rust on my exhaust valves, some rust here and there and it just looks like crap, i dunno i guess i can take it to a machine shop and see what they think cause i'm not qualified to judge the head from what it looks like. i'll try and post pics though.
