I need your guys' advice on how to fix some scratches in the cam gear area of the head(image of the area attached) The last time i removed the Cam Seals, I put 2 scratches in the portion of the head surrounding the cam ends/gears. I tried epoxy, and putting in a new cam seal, but I've still got oil leaks (which are soaking my CAS).

What do you guys things would be best? Try epoxy again? Jb Weld? It has to adhere to aluminum.

Thanks

Not certain from your description exactly where in the picture you believe it is leaking oil, but if it is leaking around the seating surface where the outer circumference of the oil seal seats, I would try a thin coating of RTV on the outer surface of the cam seal when you install it.

If you are talkomh about a leak where the red selant is, clean that off, and use Permatex non-hardning gasket maker. It is a brown goop.

" the seating surface where the outer circumference of the oil seal seats" is what I am talking about.

I believe I used RTV grey the last time to try to resolve the issue, maybe I'll try red this time.
