I had a knocking from the head. When I took the cover off everthing look fine. It seemed to be coming from the lash adjusters/lifters so I replaced them and now it won't start. I replaced them with the 3g ones. I primed them like this site said. I checked plugs, comprestion good about 150 on all, I never took the gears off the timeing belt. I did loosen the caps on the cams to get the rockers off. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. :talon:

Did you make sure they were collapsed and that you could push them down with your finger before installing them and starting the motor? If not you might have slammed the pistons into the valves.. is the compression check from before or after the new lifters?

Thanks for your guys help. This weekend I found when I loosen'd the cam it tilt up and broke my cam gear timing sensor. Looks like I got alot of work ahead of me.
