i just replaced my head on a 91 gsx. the car cranks but won't turn over and no spark and i dont know if there is fuel getting through i cant figure out what it could be. the battery is charged and the altenater is fine.

Are you positive all timing marks are lined up? Make sure that your power transistor and coil packs are plugged in.

did the car run before you changed heads, triple check your timing then check it once more. make sure your spark plug wires are in correct order (that one got me once), also to I had a friend tell me how to check fuel is to take a long pan and put it under the injectors and try and crank over to see if any of the injectors are not firing (not sure if that works 100%) pull your starter and have it tested also and if your car was running have you used all the same old parts or did you buy something new for the new head.

I agree. Definately check to make sure everything is plugged in. I have forgotten to plug in the transistor pack before.

I really do not understand what you mean by checking for fuel using this method.... I would say the easiest way is to unbolt the line going to the fuel rail, and attach a line to it and run it away from the engine bay into a container... then give the car a short quick crank or two.... and see if there's fuel in the container. I hope that helps.... be careful when messing with gasoline though, as you know it's dangerous.

i double checked all my plugs and even all my ground wire but still no luck the car cranks hard like it wants to turn over but wont. i also found out that for sure no spark and no fuel going to my head from the injectors i have tried so many thing even checking to ohms on the coil. im so stump if someone can help me by emailing me at [email protected] by monday before i push it to a local shop on what else i should do that would be great. or if any body from chicago is free i would be so happy thanks every body for their help and will try every thing again

So you checked your MPI Fuse?

Are you positive all timing marks are lined up?

& I'm SURE you realize that you can NOT push or Tow this thing, it's gotta go on a Flatbed wrecker.

thanks buck for the info it was the mpi fuse i thankyou so much now i have an other problem. i cant get any boost and the o2 sensor keep over heating and is burning through the wire. what do you think it could be?
