replaced head gasket now car wont turn on

so me and my friend replaced a blown head gasket and we also replace valve seals etc. now for some reason my car wont turn on....the lights work and when i turn the key it works everything but once im on the final turn where im suppose to ignite the car nothing happens. no noise nothing...just a slight sound that i think is just gas goin through the lines or sumtn. another thing is my ground cable to the battery is barely on. its connected by like 3 copper wires do you think this could be stopping my car from igniting. nothing happens in the engine nothing turns over or nething. someone help me out.

Fix that negative baterry connection. its not getting it full potential power to go to the starter. When you try to start it, does the gauge cluster lights dim out?

Fix the cables and get the alternator and battery checked out and tested.

yea it kinda gives out when i try to start it almost the same as when the battery cables are loose or the when the battery is dead. the only thing im confused about now is the fact that you can even hear the enging doing anything. like for example in that situation you usually hear the enginge stuttering or atleast trying to start. im not sure buti also think that just because of that cable it wont start. also does anyone know any links or have any advice on how to set the time right again by hand seeing how i dont have that timing gun. my friend said that most cars have like marks on the engine or the cams or sumtn that show you or give you reference points on where to line everything up. my friend said he saw like three marks that could possibly had meant where to line it up to but couldnt decide on which one was the right one. any pictures would help. if anyone wants to call me and explain in better detail feel free. my number is 9783978785. we will start working on my car agina first thing in the morning at 7AM eastern time so feel free anyone to call me that early thaks for the help you guys. i also need help on how to connect my oil pressure gauge. the boost gaue works fine but the oil pressure gauge isnt connected. sorry about all the questions but i also have trouble witth my gas needle. its always randomly going up and down so its hard for me to know when my tank is full or empty. thanks again and DSM all day .
