Well I bought a cop but didnt notice the difference in wiring between91-94 and 90.
Took the plug wires off and reinstalled theM and now cylinder 1 and 4 aren't getting spark. Could the coil have gone bad just like that?

Make sure the spring inside the spark plug tub makes good contact. I had a similar issue with mine ended up installing the spring and boot down first. To make sure it made contact then I intalled the cop plate with coils. No problems since.

Good place to start.

Not sure what setup you have, but mine has individual plugs that allow for quick disconnecting of each individual COP. If yours is the same you can disconnect them and measure voltage to make sure it's getting to the #1 and #4 COP. If it is getting voltage, and reseating them isn't working then it sounds like a bad COP. It could've been damaged by wiring them incorrectly the first time.

I actually didn't hook up the cop because I couldn't find out what wires from the 3plug go to the 4plug. I found diagrams but I need what wire color to what wire color.

I was wondering if that's what you meant, but didn't ask. In that case, just make sure the spark plug wires are seated properly on the coil, I was messing in the engine bay two days ago and popped one off on accident. I think #4 and #1 are the two closest to the front of the car and probably the easiest to loosen. I pulled the rubber cover back a bit, ensured the metal clips seated properly, then slid the rubber covers back over everything to ensure a good seat.

How many wires are coming off of the COP? A picture of your COP wiring harness may help people diagnose what goes where for you. I know you said there is a difference in years, but mine has a YG, YB, and BW wire coming from the wiring harness that goes across the IM. The Haynes manual shows a diagram for "typical" 90-94 2.0L engines with a YG and YB wire and the four spark plug wires coming off of the coil, but I'm having a hard time reading what goes into it. That's weird there is a difference in years, doesn't the company that sold you the COP have a wiring diagram? Wish I could help more, but I can't remember how I didn't what went where.

I actually got it off another car so I think it's home made I think I'll just sell it thank you though.
