1G Reinstalling power steering

Dear DSM wisemen, I'm in the process of restoring a 90 Eclipse GST. The kids that had it deleted the power steering and I have zero idea of how to run it.

If somebody could get me some pictures of the stock setup that would be sweet.

Copying from another thread because it's good post.

You will need to know the extent of the PS delete. Some would call removing just the PS belt a PS delete. If the previous owner went so far as to install a manual rack (1g only), then you may need:

• PS rack
• PS rack brackets
• PS pump and bracket to mount to the motor
• PS reservoir
• PS belt
• PS High pressure line from the pump
• PS hard line to connect pressure line and rack
• PS return line to PS pump
• (optional) cooler/cooling line

If the previous owner just looped the PS lines using a PS rack, then you will need everything but the rack and brackets.

I have a lot of lines. No cooler or cooler lines is it acceptable to not run a cooler

What would the method be to by pass. My high press line has a bit fitting on the end and I’m missing the piece that goes on the banjo

So my number 7 is two piece

That's not a 1g power steering high pressure line. It'd have banjo fitting on that end.

I have to question WHY the power steering was deleted to begin with. I have to guess the rack leaked like a sieve so you'll probably need a rebuilt unit or seal kit at least, plus all the missing lines, pump, reservoir, and mounting brackets. Although I do see what looks like a PS return line right there next to the washer fluid reservoir. I think that goes to the cooler, so hopefully not everything was removed.

I don’t honestly know if it was deleted or not. I got the car not put back together with a bucket of spare parts and 2 certified good transmissions. My problem is I cannot find a number seven line anywhere and don’t even know what the mounting of it looks like. I need stock photos of originally ram systems in a big way. I have return line. Pump . reservoir .
