recommended oil on fp green?

I use Shell Rotella 15w-40. $25 or less (not sure) for a gallon container. It has a very high zinc content which is good for anti wear.

/\ But bad for your cat in the long run. If you don't have a cat, its very good shit.
No cat here.

I put some in a Chevy 6.5 turbo diesel yesterday; it was $11.98 a gallon at Advance.

Which did you use, the one I'm using is the Shell Rotella® T Triple Protection. I know it's not expensive at all compared to everything else but damn is it cheap and awesome.

That's exactly what I used, Shell Rotella® T Triple Protection 15W40. I got two gallons and a purolator filter for around $25.

Brad Penn Racing oil will give you amazing wear protection but is a little light on the detergent, like many other racing oils.

For a daily driver, I'd recommend 15W40 diesel oil as many members here already have. The diesel oils are tough and are designed for extended drain intervals as well as excellent shear protection as most diesel engines do not have roller lifters. Their higher detergent content will also work to clean a dirty engine as well as keep a clean engine spotless inside.

Mobil 1 is an excellent oil as well; I've been using it exclusively in my 420A GS since I bought the car in 2002.

Be sure to adjust your oil weight as required- 10W30 / 10W40 is great for a daily driver, but a performance application may like 15W40 / 15W50 / 20W50 a little better. Mitsubishi recommends no lighter than 10W30 to be used at any time- don't listen to anyone who may attempt to talk you into running 5W30 or any of the zero-weight oils.

Would a diesel 15-40 work well for a stock motor/turbo as well? No cat btw.

Couldn't see why not. The only negative of using diesel oil in a high-mileage engine which is known to be quite dirty inside is the detergents will loosen the sludge from within the engine in large pieces which will fall to the pan and get sucked up into the oil pump screen; although our engines are not known to produce heavy sludge, so I feel you should have nothing to worry about.

DO NOT RUN MOBIL 1 OIL with FP turbo's Please read there link on there website and make your choice off from that. Otherwise you will get premature bearing failure. I personally run the Brad Penn 10w30 in my 08 Evo X with a FP Black.
