So 155K miles on the motor, and the cylinder walls still have the cross hatch :thumb: :thumb: I'm excited. Had a couple questions though...

First, for 350 AWHP (lets pretend 440 or so at teh crank) are forged internals neccesary? I am planning on leaving the head stock, and max boost level of about 25 psi. I don't see any reason to do a 2g pistons on 1g rods since the overall cost would almost equal the cost of teh forged scat rods and ross pistons. otherwise, i'd would just keep the stock 1g (7bolt) rods and get new OEM like pistons.

Is there any reason to get forged rods with oem pistons?

I would get forged pistons and ARP rod bolts before I got forged rods.

I wouldn't worry about any of it. If you happen to start leaking something or blowing something, it probably would have happened regardless. 25psi and 350AWHP isn't exactly taxing a stock DSM engine.
