I was trying to install a rear camber kit on my 2G today.

Two of the four bolts that hold the upper control arm snapped off.

I'm trying a easy-out but its not going to well, is there any way to access the mounting nuts for the control arm?

I tore the interior out of the trunk, but don't see them anywhere.

Does anyone know where the rear upper control arm mounting nuts are hidden?

If you can not get the bolts extracted, drill them out to a slightly larger size, tap for new threads, and pair with new matching bolts; Use anti-seize when you put it all back together.

I'm in the same boat. A relative of mine decided to put an impact gun to the bolts after I just finished my awd swap in hopes it wouldn't come loose on me while driving and snapped one bolt off and stripped another. Looked back in the FSM and torque specs are only 28ft/lbs so I was like good going I knew I had it covered. I'm pretty sure they are part of the body as rush stated. If the easy out doesnt work for me as well, you and me both will have to do as Locke said and drill and tap for new bigger bolts.
