shaving to fit rear upper control arm urethane

So I had a local shop press in those whiteline camber adjustment bolts with the urethane bushings on my upper control arm from machv.com, and he said it was common in these kits to sand down the urethane that comes in contact with the frame. Has anyone else heard of or done this? Also is there anything else I should look out for like the movement of that bolt when I'm fitting it in? They definitely can't just slide in.
