2G Rear Hatch adjustment

the hatch on my car has a very large gap and i hate how it looks ive tried loosening the bolts and moving it like you would aligning a hood but it only improved slightly also it seems like its at an agle the drivers side you can fit your fingers under and the passenger side you cant

did you loosen all 4 bolts at the same time and try to move it? they need to be turned out a few turns before it will loosen.
and have you checked vehicle history to see if it has any accidents?

It is a rebuilt title so it may not be fixable however i would like to try and i only loosened 4 do also loosen the strut bolts

if loosening the 4 hatch bolts didn't work. try also removing the hatch struts at the same time. if they are bent or the brackets are bent it can cause issues

I tried that it didn’t improve much is there an easy way to reposition the hinges

Hinges do bolt to the body and also offer a secondary adjustment along with the hatch to hinges.

I loosened the hinges a little bit and it worked well the trunk is a little stick closing now though
