1G Rear ATX Engine Mount issue

Hi there,

I’m wondering if anyone can help with this issue. I have a 94 Eagle Talon AWD Auto and I’m looking to replace my rear engine mount since the rubber is ripped and worn. The part number stamped on the mount is MB581645 which i cannot find anywhere. Not on google (two results come up not related to Mitsu in the entire internet !) CAPS or anything. When I look for the correct part number MB581640 comes up. I’ve been trying to order it but it’s discontinued everywhere. I went to autozone and O’Reilly and they are giving me a different mount that’s taller with the duralast part number 8104.

Does anyone know if the taller one will work or a replacement that can be purchased anywhere?

Why not go another route. You can go with poly inserts, or spring for aftermarket mounts entirely. If one is done, the others probably aren't far behind.

The 8104 is not the right mount either. In the article I wrote, you can see the mount that you need, I am assuming, since you are still a 1g auto car.

Had to get mine used when I needed one.

Went through the same ordeal 3 times, and all 3 times the mount was taller. Just go poly and you never have to worry about it.

I just got a set from 1aauto. They measured about 1/8 inch different. But they bolted right up.

I might just go with a poly on that one mount. The other 3 are new and didn’t have a problem sourcing them. Just the rear one for whatever weird reason. Thanks for the replies!

You can turn the poly inside out and it will fit and not be so solid. I noticed that while testing.
