Were there different A/T mounts for the 2g awd DSM? I purchased a brand new one from the dealership using my VIN to find the right mount and this is what i got. Its got the correct part number of MB911274 but its a little different..Were there different 2g awd A/T mounts? The new one i bought doesnt fit where the old one sat.

In one of the pictures you can see its got 2 grooves going along the left side of the mount if you were to view it from the passenger side. basically the one bolt hole area not the one that hold two. Not only that, but it doesnt seem like its the right size because bottom to bottom they dont match up. So what do i have here?

Im so close to getting this car back up and running with out a rocking motor LOL. This is the last mount i need to replace and hopefully it shouldn't rock back and forth any more. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

The only difference I know of is between MT and AT. Is there any chance that the new mount you got could possible be a MT mount? I always end up receiving the wrong parts from parts stores all the time because of many different reasons. Just something to consider.

You more than likely got a mispackaged/mislabeled part. Unless your car has been swapped from manual to auto and when you gave them the VIN they sent the corresponding part. Dash swaps cause this too. Just a few things to think about.

I dont think so. I went to another Mitsubishi dealership and asked them to pull out said mount using the part number and they had the exact same one i just bought from another dealership. The parts guy told me all automatic 2g 95-99 DSM's use the same mount. I wonder if for the 97-99 years if they modified them a bit and figured that theyd still work in the 95-96 years. IDK just my thought right now.

Nope, car actually came automatic from the factory. I bought two used mounts and they looked the same but they were blown so no good. I was going to put the prothane inserts into them but ive had nothing but bad luck with trying to do it. One mount cracked on the housing when putting it on the bench vise. The other one, the metal inner ring didnt want to budge so i used a ton of force on it and i broke the left part of the mount where you would bolt it down LOL.

UGH! DSM'S always something..idk what to do at this point..

Sorry....sometimes you have to ask the obivious ...All of the aftermarket stock replacement mounts I can find look identical to what you got from the dealer but the pictures of the billet avid mounts for the auto look correct to your original.

the new one looks like an autozone one.

I also doubt its a mislabeled manual mount.

As for mounts being diferent with years i doubt it my gsx is 97 and the mount looks just like your old one.

Maybe its from a bad batch? haha idk. Go to autozone and ask tehm to show you the mount, and compare it with yours.

Good luck!
