Rear alignment.....lower control arm?

First off let me say I have been a reader of the board for over 4 years now and have found the answer to every question i've had through the search button, its been great. And the wealth of knowledge i've gained here is amazing.

Ok so I have a quick question for all you DSM guru's out their. I moved down from NY and have a 2ga awd and needless to say its rusted to sh*t. I went to a shop to have my alignment done and they told me that my rear alignment bolt was stuck so they couldnt do anything for me because it was prone to breaking. Well I took it home and tried to loosen it and yes they were right....they do break. (the rear alignment bolt is the one on the lower control arm with the tick marks in it??) So now i need to cut either the bolt or whole lower control arm to get it off, I understand that part.

My quetion is first off am I working with the correct bolt and part (lower control arm?) and secondly could I use the rear lower control arms out of a 99 NT? I understand the drivetrain is different however I have this slight hope some of the suspension components are the same. I appreciate any insight, as it would be nice not to have my car pulling to the right for once. Any advice and pictures would be great. Thanks!

I assume they and you are talking about the rear toe alignment. Very common problem. The bolt rust welds inside the sleeve causing no way to remove the arm or align the rear toe. The easiet thing to do, which me and many others have done is torch out the arms and buy brand new arms and bolts.

I appreciate the quick response...much easier to get the info you need when you have the correct search terms.....going from this page I assume I need part #7 on this page below . Chances are the turbo and AWD/FWD all all different. As in I wouldnt be able to use one of a 1999 NT?

Youre looking at #7 here.

Im not sure about the NT arms. I think they are different.
