Also didnt 1Gs come in like that sphire looking blue thats rare on supras? Not the exact color but somthing like it

I have one of the 4/6 AWD Lasers. Mine has no power windows, no power locks, no cruise, but it does have the rear wiper. Red with the gold bottom trim with black/dark gray interior.

The top three rarest dsms have already been stated...

To the side I have a 92 6/4 awd Laser RS with eprom ecu originally red exterior, power everything except I removed cruise control and rear wiper... I dont find any Laser common whether it be turbo or non turbo, but the
awd models are especially rare and among those rare lasers the 92-93 seem to be the most common.
I dont think Ive ever seen a 94 laser...

The best year to get a 1st gen DSM IS early 92 which I lucked out with because I didnt know any of this at the time.
You get 6 bolt engine, 4bolt rear, eprom ecu, and the 92 trannys are the toughest and most ideal to have, plus laser are the lightest factory dsm! The only factory thing I had to add were my dual piston calipers which came off of the 93-94 AWDs.

I always thought the awd 1g eclipses with the black leather interiors were pretty rare...?

What about this model eclipse, i think its only euro or something i remember a thread about it because of its front lip thats what made it different therefore this would be pretty rare ( I edited the pics lighting a little so you can see what im talking about, nothin big but mainly the front bumper is a little different.)

Mine 1992 Plymouth laser Maroon AWD 5 speed. 6 bolt motor, 4 bolt rear end. Red interior. Power windows,power locks.
 
Eclipse base models. They dont even have a tachometer
 
They made the Talons, only a limited production for the SCCA members only. It has no rear wiper and factory light weight.

The green 1ga eclipses are pretty rare.

2gs, the lime green was rare

Ok I just read the entire thread. Options or trims doesn't make the car rare, anybody could order any package they wanted from the factory. SO all this automatic with power locks, non power mirrors, manual steering, power rear seat belt crap doesn't mean anything.

Next, targas, convt 1gs, gull wings, none of these were factory cars, don't count. That is like saying a Kenny Brown mustang is a factory car, it is not. If it was built in the factory then shipped somewhere elese to be modified it doesn't count. Buschur had a deal with Medina Mitsu to sell brand new EVOs that came modded, not factory cars, don't count.

As for the Emmerson, I guess if you want to count it go for it. Still wasn't a production car, it was a CONCEPT car, but the rarest alive for sure.

You would have to look at specific model production numbers, then trim levels, then colors.

That makes this easy:

For 2gs that would be a 98 talon, next would be trim, turbo = more rare, AWD = more rare, auto = more rare, now we are left to color, black, white, red not rare, that leaves the paprika... no, polo green... no, wildberry... no. Alrighty that leaves two colors left, the teal/bright jade, and the grey with blue metallic paint. I vote the teal.

That was the scientific way of figuring it, in my opinion the rarest 2g is a light light purple they made on 2GAs Eclipses, it is what I call the Barney color, no one has even mentioned this yet. I have only seen 1 or 2 since 95. Don't confuse this with the deep purple 2gs.

For Galants they are all rare they only made 300X total.

1gs, this could be a mystrey. Rarest model is the Laser AWD, and the rarest color available was teal for sure. Now I have seen a fair share of teal awd lasers, but hell I have seen every color of every 1g over time. However teal was not the rarest color on the 1g. There is two other colors, one is for the laser, it was a light light light blue. I have only seen one sorry I don't have a pic and the car was NA. The second color came on an eclipse and it looks like silver with a pinch of blue in it(pic attached), again only seen one and it was NA. If there is a teal awd Eclipse I have never seen one of those, that would be the rarest DSM I have ever seen.

Also, can anyone produce a build date from 1988. I am almost certain there are some, "Mitsubishi and chrysler are calling the cars 90 models although production began in the fall of 1988, and marketing begines Jan 1, 1989" Road & Track Dec 1988 Pg.58.

I Think the rarest 1gs are the dark green 1gb's

For 2g talons I think it might be the early 95's with vented rear disk's in the piss green color or the bright blue and the copper color and blueish purple 95 eclipses.

I think its 3008, 8 without number badges. 2000 in 91 and 1000 in 92 Dont know the other 8 though, But My Car is Rare LOL
