I shift manually as well. I start w/ the OD button off (seems to hold out shifts a little longer). If its drag racing, I rev to 2000 -2500 in "L" then go to redline, shift to "2", then "D", then hit the "OD Button". When I let it do it itself, it shifts shorter even at WOT.

Isnt this potentially harmful to our A/T trans? Also, do you have to hit the brake everytime you need to shift from say L - 2 then 2 - D? (or however the order is...)

Why would you need to hit your brake? you just pop into the next gear by pushing it with your hand. You only need to use brake when shifting from park.

Also, yea it could be harmful if you dont know what your doing. You could leave it in L and redline it forever and brake something. Some trannys on DSM autos you can leave it in L and itll shift every gear to redline (all gears) and some just keep you in L as long as you want.
