Well anyway, a small factory turbo will cause a lot of exhaust manifold backpressure with a negative deltap and that will cause reversion which leads to higher combustion temps and you guessed it...detonation. 20psi on a turbo designed for it and 20psi on a turbo designed for 11psi are two different things.
For the matter of about $5 just stick the damn C16 in the car.![]()
t78 was when i had a supra, prolly should have mentioned that
...but yeah you are right about the diff sized turbos...the stock t25 in his case is out of it efficiancy range at 20psi, blowing alot of hot air into the engine, causing more chance of detonation..like they said, if its just for the track, just run you tank till its almost empty then put a couple gallons of c16 in and you should be fine.
