I use to say those same exact words when i read a thread about someone leaving there DSM..and now im in there boat..i know Ill be back..I just hope i can get away from DSM's at least 1 year so i can forget i ever owned a GST...because if i dont..i will emotionally regret selling this car..

dude you are right..i already started posting there. I will eventually get a front lip. I figured that while im still young, i might as well get a taste of how a supra feels. I know when i hit 30+ years old, im going to be probably driving around in a sedan with kids. I will pick up a 1G AWD though so i dont feel too bad about selling my GST

No one can deny that the Generation 4 Supra have thee sexiest ASS END.

I was looking for one myself, but then I realized...95 Talon TSi AWD/Supra TT would have a helluva insurance problem.

I wouldn't ever give up a AWD DSM for a Supra though, but seeing as yours is FWD..I'd do it i in a heart beat, hell yeah. Enjoy dude, good luck.

Thats beyond my control..im sure ill still feel bad everytime i see any Red 2GB that looks just like mine.

Im sure 15g's in a dsm will put the hurt on most supras. Thats not my concern right now. Like I said..I will forever love DSM's and eventually i will own another one. If it wasnt for my DSM, i wouldnt have had the courage to buy another turbocharged vehicle. It has taught me alot.

Supras do have a nice ass end, but not quite as good as the 2Gb Eclipse.

Alright guys got a little update. I went to take a look at 2 Supra's today. 1 Black and 1 red. The black one smoked blue upon start up, drove fine, no grinding through all 6 gears. The clutch felt strong and i didnt really notice any other problems. However the smoke concerned me because it smelled like piston rings. She wanted $29000 so i offered her $25k and she didnt want to do it. I simply laughed at her and rolled out. I mean who would pay $29k for a car that is 11 years old, with 70k miles, smoking pretty bad. I mean i wasnt going to spend that much on a car that could possibly need an engine rebuild. That would seriously put me in debt. I went to take a look at the red 97 TT Supra. It had 78,300 miles on it. Upon my arrival, the guy was cleaning her up real nice. I was getting ready to test drive it and noticed it was Auto . I know there isnt anything wrong with auto supras but i prefer 6 speed and I even asked him when i talked to him over the phone in which he gave me an unclear reply and changed the subject. I guess he just wanted me to come down and take a look at the car. He wanted $26k for it but I wasnt feeling that auto so i said ill think about it and give him a call if i decide to buy it.. .

So i have thought long and hard about things and i am really nervous about buying a Supra now. I dont know anyone around with Supras that could possibly help me if i ever needed help. i dont know much about modding these cars..dont know much about tuning these cars. I have alot of friends with DSM's that always give me a hand when i need it. I will always have the money to mod a DSM but if i bought a Supra, i would be stuck with a mid 13 sec car for along time because i wont have money for mods for awhile. My GST is even faster than that with traction.

I am still searching for more Supras but it is starting to look like I'll most likely end up with a 2G GSX. Im going to wait for a couple weeks before i make my final decision. I hate living check to check (though i can afford it)..but I think the GSX is probably my best option since i know about these cars..i know how to mod them..and there cheap.

Looks like im not gone after all..atleast for now

i know what you mean man, if you go dsm it will be faster, but if you go supra, its a supra, plain and simple. it has so much more potential althought more expensive, shit i would drive around in one with exhaust and wheels and thats it, to me those cars look so damn sexy, i still think you should keep looking. the best deals are when you least expect it, just give it time and something will show up.

how many dsms do you see around then compare that to how many supras you see

I see what your saying. The DSM to Supra Ratio is not even comparable because you see so many more DSM's. Supra's are very nice cars and Im still looking for more. If i can find the right car, right deal, ill jump on it. But for now, Im looking for a 97-99 GSX. Im willing to spend up to $14k on a low mileage one. I will be willing to travel the distance if i have to. What would be better is if i can find a 98 TSI AWD. A black 98 TSI AWD..that would be great. But there so hard to find

My dream car much like yours is a tt 6spd supra and I was very close to buying one but then I realized what the #### I was doing. As much potential as the cars have and as good as they look I just couldn't bring myself to pay high 20k to mid 30k for a 9 year old car at best. Not only that but the ones that were between those prices were usually 94 or 93.5 which would mean it is now a 12 years old car. Could you imagine paying 30k for a 1g? I don't think so. Then I looked at prices of mods and simple things like exhaust is like 800 damn bucks its like owning a damn viper or vette, there is no reason for the mods to be more expensive they just are. The last reason was that I couldn't feed into the egos of supra owners who think their shit don't stink and that they are for some reason OWED 35k for a 10 year old car with a salvage title.

I'm selling my GS-T. it didn't work out the way i wanted it tyo with my DSM. nothing happened to it I just decided to sell it. i got tired of the limited space. my loss somebody else's gain. i'll stick around.

I'm leaving the DSM world because I bought a new BMW M3 6spd , but the Eclispse GSX was a good car to me and I got hours and hours of fun driving out of it. I'm going to miss it...
