I am so JEALOUS!!! Although I "destroy" my friend's modded SMG M3 all the time, I still want one so bad. I am also saving up for a M3 as well, the car is going for sale after this winter. M3 is a little at the high end, looking for a C32 AMG that's also a 4door 350hp monster. Good luck with the new car and it's definitly one hell of a ride!!! :thumb:
 
They are sexy looking cars, until they start to break down. Then they become a wallet killer..even more than a DSM.

I don't think beamers are made in mexico, I thought that was some volkswagens?
 
Sweet ride....... :thumb: I wanted to get one of those right after college, but insurance company wanted $8000 a year.

Congrats! I drove an E36 M3 for a week in Texas for tire testing. It was a sweet heart. Smooth, precise and fast... only get the last one with a DSM (although cheaper).

Noticed your a mechanical engineer? I am studying ME at University of Akron.. 1 more year to go!! Where did you go to school? (Keep reminding myself why I bust my ass for school, an E46 M3 is plenty of motivation!)

i misshifted my e30 very often LOL..never went kaboom.. more like vroom nenenenene ..couldnt break it..

I randomly checked this site today for some reason, but anyway, im bored and thought id enlighten you all.
Well, for years i've been wanting to build this Nissan. While i loved my DSM when i had it, this is so much more fun! Here is the reason i left DSM's.

I bought this 1996 Nissan 240sx back in Jan of 05 100% stock, obd2 automatic. And this is what i have done since then.

Oh yes, i have many plans for it :sneaky: .

I plan on selling the Tein Coilovers because they are too soft at 6kg/5kg springrates. And i am hoping to get a set of SilkRoad RMA8 Coilovers with 8kg/7kg springrates. (hopefully i can do this soon!)

Then after i finish my rear 11.5" J30 brake conversion, i will do a 12.0" quadpiston Z32 front brake conversion. Then i am going to get some Nismo motor/tranny mounts and a silk road engine dampener to make the motor a bit more solid in there. (this will be done before spring)

Then i will probaly get a B&M short throw and a Recaro SRD or Bride Ergo seat to finish up the interior. Then i will move onto the motor, the motor is gonna get a 24x10x3 FMIC with a ARC blow off valve, and a new intake hardpipe. Then i will probaly do a simple tune with an SAFC1. (this will be before summer)

Then i want to get a set or M2 Habai DT05R wheels 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 for street use. and a set of Advan SA3's or Enkei Evolutions 16x8 and 16x9 for track use.

I currently have a Garret GT2860R turbo with a .86 hotside that i needs to be rebuilt. I am going to have Garret rebuild it, and i will have them throw the biggest compressor wheel they can in there, making it roughly equal to a GT2871 or GT2876. My buddy made 312whp with it in bad condition. It'll be capable of 410whp when im done with it, but i am only going to tune it to roughly 350whp or so, just to keep it on the safe side. Then i am going to get a set of 550cc or 650cc injectors, an 80mm Z32 MAF, and a Apexi Power FC for tuning. After that i should be running consistent mid-high 11's when prepped for track use. It'll be a mid-low 12 second street car every day though.

By late summer i hope to have all of that done along with a Cusco or KAAZ 1.5way LSD. Then probaly continue with the chasis and do a set of nice sway bars and a front STB. Then eventually i might do a Kouki front end conversion because my Zenki front end is a bit messed up from a recent accident involving a high speed banked turn and a ditch. :shhh:

Then hell after that, i'll probaly buy another one LOL, a white 97 and do a S14SR20 into it, and make that one all pretty with a body kit and basic boltons and keep the white one for a daily, and make the black one a complete track slut!! :thumb: We'll see though, i just hope to make it safely through the winter, because this is my one and only car. OMG
 
Haha, wow. I was just expecting something like a nice bodykit and rims. But I see you have much more planned. :thumb: Can't go wrong with a Kouki front end, nice and clean. Well good luck on your car! Try to stay clear of those ditchs, curbs, small mammals..etc, this winter. :p
 
yeah dude nice car and everything but in case you didn't know, this site is f-in vaginal about posting pictures of cars other than DSM. I posted some pics I took of a couple of my friends' hondas and thread got closed. :notgood: . Good pics though btw.

thats cause those were your everyday average ricer lookin honduh's.

his nissan is very clean on the other hand. :thumb: maybe one day id like to pick up a 300zxTT, i think they look pretty sweet and not many people have them nor use them to their fullest.
 
Wow an engine swap to get 13's big deal. My Talon could out drift your 240 any day LOL.. Should have kept your dsm dude..

Acctually I like the 240 nice car. I woudl have turboed the KA though, the 2.4L with low revs and a turbo makes a nice 400whp at low rpm with lots of torque to boot. I know SR20 is JDM y0! so it's cool.
