I am curious as to if anyone here has used a Verex muffler and what are their thoughts.

I really want quieter exhaust most of the time so it is not annoying to me i have seen and tried differ one and they seem all the same once a little of throttle is given.

I like my full 3 inch apexi. Sounds clean and rumbly even on 272 cams.

I was out looking at my parts car this morning and saw it has a full 3" apexi exhaust as well as an N1 muffler.

Nice little surprise there for sure.

Man that thing was a good buy. $3500 and it came with DSMLink V3, that Apexi exhaust, a 6 bolt block that needs a little love, a set of Enkei RPF1, a spare 6 bolt block (rusted super bad but easily salvageable, and toooons of extra parts. I literally have 2 of everything.

I think I may trying the N1 muff out for a bit to see what the hype is about.

Just the ecmlink, apexi exhaust and rpf1's are 2k in value. I agree! Great buy for sure!

The parts talon I got last year had a ton of goodies too. Cracked open the tranny last week and has shepherd racing forks. :D

Oh man I hope that tranny has the same in it or some other sweet surprise!

Ya it was a good find for sure....it came with all the usuals too like injectors, wally, sensors....and 3-4 boxes of parts including a non-LSD diff that I'm doing the EVO 8 diff swap into.

I have a full 3" exhaust with a magnaflow muffler with a magnaflow resonator. Nice and quiet, flows great. Looks almost stock.

Same thing i have on mine. Vibrant muffler with an mid muffler. Car still sounds good but not drownie

I have a Varex. Dual 3" in and out, oval.
I got it used and I thing the bush on the butterfly's are worn. I'm sure its rattling when shut. Its still brappy, so will add a resonator.
It is nice and quiet, and i have it shut mostly, in fact i ts not wired in, I just closed butterfly's and installed it.
Also mine is non turbo at moment, a turbo does a fair bit of muffling.
I hope the bushes are replaceable easily....

But, I recommend one. I'm planning to make it automatic, when the turbo engine goes in. Thinking to hook up a wastegate actuator that opens butterfly's at 5psi or so...or a full throttle switch, with a 5sec delay before closing. It actually opens quite quickly.

Varex was worth the money in my opinion. I got the 3" in and dual 2.5" outlets. Looks great on a 2g and it sounds way better than my old apexi n1 with the active tail silencer.

I ditched the stupid remote controls and wired them to a bi-directional momentary switch inside the console. Works like a window switch, up for more volume, down for less volume.

Downside is the weight. They are double-walled stainless, with a big power window motor stuck on top to turn the butterfly.
