I'm looking for a 3" muffer for my 91 GSX. I want one that is quiet but does'nt hurt performance. I just found out that the Magnaflow muffler on my GSX has under a 2 1/4" ID. I would like to upgrade but i would like to hear from those with experiance with different mufflers.

There's a Flowmaster (or is it magnaflow?) muffler that I'm looking at getting. It's a 3" in, dual 2.5" out, with a big oval body. Basically it looks exactly like the stock muffler on turbo cars, which is why I want it.

I don't have any experience with it though. I don't think it's straight through, so it might hurt performance a little.

Your car will not be obnoxiously loud like a honda cause yours is turbocharged. So you have wide range of exhaust to look at. Look for oval style mufflers as well.

Mangna flow 3 inch muffler, they have a few you can choose from and then use a 3inch resontator. It will be really quite and sound nice and clean without giving you head achs over long drives.

Magnaflow. They make 3" mufflers, some are 3" in 3" out and they have 3" in 2.5" dual out as well. Just eBay "magnaflow muffler"

Thanks for the replies guys! Would the Magnaflow 3"in/ dual 2 1/2" out flow well enough for 300-350whp? I know i'm not there yet, but that is my goal. I may try the Magnaflow along with a 3"in-3"out resonator.
