This summer I plan on using my graduation money on a bottem end build/turbo kit for my 420a gs. Naturally I will need more than the stock exhaust so i was planning on getting a gs-t exhaust from some company. But I hate loud exhausts and the look of a can on the back:barf: I am going to need the performance of a 3" exhaust but i don't want the sound of it. It's the tone of the exhaust that makes it sexy, not how loud it is. So i was wondering if anyone out there knew of any 3" mufflers that have good performance but are relativley queit. By quiet I don't mean stock sounding,, but i dont mean screaming civic/can action either,, think bmw....... Any body know of a muffler that could give me that??? I was also thinking of putting a truck muffler on it?haha,ROFL , How do you think that would sound? Thanks for the Input:rocks:

i am currently trying to decide between a borla, magnaflow and dynomax 3" inlet with 2 2.2" outlets. Do you have a sound clip of your car?

I bought a knock off summit brand with 3" inlet and (2) 2.5" outlets. I should have it installed this weekend. I was hoping it wouldn't be as loud as my 280zxt was, it had a 3" dynamax bullet and it just wasn't good for daily driver.

No, sorry. I don't posess that technology yet. :( If it helps any, magnaflow and borla are generally some type of perforated tube/packing straight-thru design, while the dynomax in question is a mechanical baffle (usually a bit quieter). I just added a second Dynomax 3" ultra flow bullet, and I'm now pleased with the sound level, but I'm old.
