2G quick tuning question

The only reason I'm asking in here is because I'm still a probationary member but what do i need on order to retune my ecu do I need a piggyback system can I flash my ecu will one of those so called handheld programmers work? I'm just looking for the easiest way to time my ecu for all of the upgrades I'm getting ready to do

you'll need to take your ECU out of the car, pick it up and give it a piggyback ride around the block, then you'll need to flash it immediately after getting back, but depending on if you have a male or female ECU the flashing might have negative results.

EcmLink is one popular tool for upgrades but it has a price. It is sold by ECMTuning here on this site. SAFC is another tuning device although not as sophisticated plus there are replacement "black box" ECU's. John.....Love your answer....I'm gonna try that and hope I have a female ECU!!!
