I've done some searching and cant fiqure out when you are datalogging on dsmlink does it factor in the 5 degree base timing or do u have to add 5 to whatever dsmlink is telling u in the timing log. Just wondering cause i had an concern that my timing dropped to 2.9 degrees when i first hit the throttle to do a WOT 3rd gear pull and at the top of rpm range it climbed to about 15 degrees. some pulls it shows 1.8 * knock at 4500 some it dont. checked boostleaks, fully tuned up, plugs, wires. boost at 16PSI

Follow the instuctions in the manual. Ground the diag port by the battery, use a timing light at idle to verify that its 5 degrees btdc. I have tried to use dsmlink solely to verify base timing, never had luck... just break out the timing light, and a 12mm wrench to adjust the Cam Angle Sensor. Happy new year all! Pm me with any questions, i love to help!

I think I posted this log right. My timing is very low at low rpms, like 2 or 3 degrees and still some knock. 93 octane fuel. I can post more logs if needed, just let me know what u need to help me out. thanks, mike

I timed it using the camshaft marks and an adjustable timing light set to 5* grounding the timing conector manually, "not through dsmlink"

Here is a log that has large knock counts, I was goin up a small hill.
