My Oem turbo studs will be in tomorrow. Then i can finally run the car for the second time after i bought it. Bolt went through oil pan 4 hours after i bought it. I tour the engine apart after it happened and notice half the bolts on the car where only hand tight and the old owner put a bent auto tensioner in it after rebuild.

Ok so i bought all new stuff that looked even slightly questionable on the car. I timed the car. Instead of the crank pulley lining up like this <- with the mark, it lines up at the bottom edge of the mark like this \ _. Sorry for the crappy description. What im saying is my cams are dead on and my crank is like an 1/16-1/8 counter clockwise. Never came across this before as ive done a dozen belts. If I go one tooth clockwise its way out. That 1/16-1/8 counter clockwise should be correct then right?

I just saw other threads that where dead on and it got me thinking. THANKS!:D

It should be fine. When I have one that is off a little I usually put the cams dead on and the crank marks offset to where the crank will line up as soon as it turns (if that makes sense). That way if there is any slack whatsoever in the belt it will come out and the shit will line up right.

I get what your saying. I had a hard time getting the belt on cause it was tight even with the tensioner pin in. When i pulled the pin the tensioner didnt even really budge. Its almost like when the belt gets broken in everything then will line up perfect. Just needs that slight stretch.
