i have a short route intake mani and many people have said i need some sort of sensor to make it run efficant? does anyone kno what it is and how to get it i know on my stock mani there is a sensor but the aftermarket does not have :hmm:

Can you be specific about your "short route intake mani"? AFAIK most manifolds still have the throttle body in roughly the same place so I don't see how they could be short route.

Start by telling us who made it and possibly providing a link or an image.

I believe he is referring to the intake off of the turbo and the MAF is the sensor he is talking about. The only benefit to moving your intake would be to grab cold air front the bumper area, and that would be a negligible benefit, or if you are running turbo with a larger than stock inlet then you can see a benefit in using a larger diameter intake pipe.

ok maybe this will help out better if u look at ## stock intake manifold it has a sensor on top. well my aftermarket manifold which is like the jmf short intake runner mani does not have that senor or spot for it is there a adaptor i need? i belive its the map sensor
