Is this possible? I've searched and I think my search is either too broad or too vague. So I turn to the forums.... Can this be done, oh wisemen of the dsmtuners?

yes you can...actually its an upgrade for a 2g. I ported my head to match the 1g intake manifold.

1g intake manifold and TB are a common mod on 2g's. Without port matching the head though you won't gain anything by just bolting it on so make sure you have time to do the head at the same time.

The 1g intake manifold and throttlebody's are bigger on a 1g then on a 2g. I would also recommend you port the head to match the intake manifold if you do decide to put a 1g intake mani on a 2g head.

Yes it is possible, but as already stated there is no point in swaping your IM if the ports don't match your 2G head. I really don't think hacking up a 2G head to match isn't a good idea, remember bigger is not always better. If you really think so, I'm sure there is some orphan V-8 just waiting for adoption.

Oh and yes you can use a 1G TB turbo or NA, as long as it's not from a 90'.

If you are wanting to do this swap it would be better for you to do the hole head swap instead of porting the 2g head. The 2g head is made the way it is for a reason to keep air speed high if you port it you are going to slow down the velocity and loose some of the low end tq that the 2g have. The 1g and 2g were made around a completely different concept

Soooo...the 1g heads don't have as much torque? So why not just buy a aftermarket 2g IM then?
