Intake Mani?

hey everyone... i just bought comp "severe competition" 200 series cams, and i was wondering if i will need to upgrade my intake mani to get the full potential out of the cams or will the stock intake mani be good enough.. any information would be great.. thanks!

You could get an aftermarket intake mani you would see some significant gains. If you want to go a cheaper route you could get a 1g intake mani since it's a good big bigger than your stock 2g.

You will get the full potential out of the cams with a sheet metal intake manifold.. If you have extra money htat would be a good investment to get with the cams you have, but your stocker will do good for now.

i bet you could port a bit of the stock intake manifold. or 2g manifolds cost around 175 dollars . (2g's are good for durabilty.) so i thought i might say something.

Yes, if you want to get the FULL POTENTIAL; then a smim will provide you some great gains. But if your stock mani is good enough for now;but you will see more power with a smim.

I would recommend going with the stock 1g intake manifold. Im not sure wha the 91forlife got $175 from , but Id like to sell him a few parts I have. You can usually find them for $40 to $50 in the classifieds on this site or ebay. It will give you pretty good improvement over the 2g.
