question on 7 bolt trans

Is there anything that would have to be change swapping a 2g 7bolt trans in a 1g 6 bolt car? I know you would have to retain the flywheel.

i dont think it would bolt up to a 1st gen dsm...i think the splinesare different maybe on anoter 7 bolt 1st gen like a 93 or something...

I thoght I had heard you could, and it was not possible to swap a 6 bolt trans to a 7.

Putting a 2g transmission into a 1g car would require a good bit of custom work.

The 1g's use 1 transmission mounts and 3 motor mount.
The 2g's use 3 transmission mount and 1 motor mounts.
