7 bolt question ???

ok i have been wondering are the 7 bolt short block/crank built better in 1998-99?? considering the thrust bearings are different?

I have heard that the 98-99 models are less prone to crankwalk due to exactly as youre saying with the thrust bearings.

But, I do not have confirmation.

Id say that there is prob little to know diff between 97 and 98,but i would worry about it, i dont think that youll get crankwalk. If youre worried you should just go with a 6 bolt, better safe than sorry i guess

there is alot difference when you look at the thrust washers and i heard the thrust washers are the same design to the evos engine but just wondering would other people would have to say about it

All 7-bolt cranks are the same.
Yes, the split thrust 97.5-99 7-bolts use the exact ACL Race Bearings as the Evo VIII and IX.
