7 Bolt Question

All right, I was sitting in church thinking about what to do about my car, it has a 7bolt. I remember reading somewhere that the seven bolt started being put into the 93+ up cars right? So if that is true wouldn't the motor in my 97 actually drop right into a GSX or GST from 93 up?

your 97 eclipse motor will go into any eclipse talon or laser from any years. a 7 bolt -6bolt swap can be done in any of the cars.

Seriously? Cause i didn't think the mounts were right or something. my main reason for asking was, my car got wrecked and i was looking for a cheap alternative instead of having to buy a 6 bolt long block or short block and building it when my 7 bolt engine is doing just fine, and its kinda hard to find a good 2g GSX shell for real cheap
