I want to get a aem uego wideband to tune with my safc. Do I have to weld In a hung or can I take out one of the stock o2 sensors and replace with the wideband o2? I have a stock ecu.

I was told by aem and plx devices that you can use your rear o2 location fine.

AS LONG AS you are not running a cat.

You will either need to emulate a 0-1v signal to run back to your ecu or disable the rear o2 completely (i believe this is possible using ecuflash...) or else your CE light will be on... im not sure if that effects anything else tho?

Perhaps someone else could chime in who knows more about the rear o2 sensor and what it affects.

I have purchased the AEM Uego setup tho, (should be here in the next hour actually) and I plan on running it in my rear location. I have a test pipe in. And im going to be tuning with ECUflash once my cable comes in so I hope to be fine running it that way!

what do you think is easier drilling a hole in your exhaust and then having the bung welded in which would take 5 mins tops OR having to do all the wiring that is necessary and soldering in resistors just to eliminate your rear o2 sensor?

to each its own i guess

if you run ECM link it has a rear o2 code eliminator but if you don't wanna run a cat and don't want to go to far in STM has a spacer for the rear o2 sensor $12 check engine light fix I have it it works great
