ok, i need to know what connects to #6 and #7.....i know that #2 and #5 go together:p but i dont know what connects to where, the reason i ask is because i have only 1 hose coming off of the stock 2G BOV and i have 2 outputs for 2 different hoses on the Greddy Type S BOV....in case you are wondering, i am also installing the Greddy IC piping kit and a 3" intake pipe:)

Thanks:dsm:

The top connection (7) goes to the vacum line that is currently connected to your stock BOV.

The bottom connection (6) is for putting pressure on the diaphram to cause the bov to open more quickly. Connect it to a boost source - mines connected to the boost line on my turbo that also connects to my boost controller.

It's really not that hard, but I'll help you anyway...

The black vacuum hose/line (whatever) that connects to the top of your 2g BOV goes to the TOP nipple of the Greddy BOV. The bottom nipple is better left open....so I've been told. That black tube (#2) between the BOV and the intake goes onto the big hole (mouth if you want) of the Greddy BOV. That's basically it. You just screw the Greddy BOV onto the flange, swap out pipes, and your set to go.

The lower nipple should also be connected. It prevents compressor surge by allowing the bov to open earlier. I had a lot of compressor surge before I connected it. Also, mine was leaking when it wasn't connected, I got about 3psi of boost back by connecting it.

Once you have it all hooked up, take a pic, i would like to see where that bottom line comes from..also I heard to tune the BOV you should block the bottom line...

You can T the line off. I have my boost controller and BOV all connected to the same line.

As far as connecting the bottom nipple, I'm only going by whatever I heard through the grapevine. I didn't realize that leaving the nipple open would cause problems. Maybe I'll hook up the line from the compressor housing to the lower nipple and see what happens.

The adjustment screw may be tuned for a harder or softer operation if both hoses are employed. There is nothing to adjust if you do not use the second turbo pressure line.

? that sounds off to me...is that right?

From what I experienced running the BOV, yes. Leaving the bottom one disconnected made the adjustment screw do absolutely nothing. When I connected it I had it waaaay too loose from trying to stop the compressor surge without it and the bov wasn't completly closing...tightened it back up and everything worked perfectly.

So is it better to leave that one open then? I mean I have read a good guide on setting those BOVs on here by Wobble, but it might be easier to just leave that hose unconnected, does it hurt anything to leave it off?

it doesn't hurt anything to leave it off, but from personal experience I got a ton of compressor surge because it didnt open nearly fast enough. So, indirectly, it could hurt the turbo
