have questions about greddy rs bov

I did a boost leak test yesterday and found that the bov is leaking from a small hole on the back of the bov right under where the vaccum line goes. Is this normal? The hole seems like it machined from the factory. When i plug the hole its cause air to start to leak from the bov internally. I cant get the car to build more than 10 psi.

Sounds like the diaphragm inside the bov might have a hole in it.

Mine did the same thing. I got rid of it and got a Greddy Type-S, no issues since.

I had the Greddy type-s with the same problem, switched to the Tial and it's awesome.

I have a type s and have had no problems at all. I dont know how you are setting it but i used a vacuum pump, I pumped it to 20" And set it there. I had a problem where it was leaking out of the adjuster srew but i put a small o ring under the washer and it has not leaked since. I bought it used and assumed it was missing the o ring. Take it apart and look at the diapraghm, Just keep pressure on it while you remove the allen screws so it doesnt pop apart on you, The spring tension is pretty strong.

I now cant hold past 12 psi. And it runs bad under boost now. Have to tighten the bolt al the way down now.....

I did the permetex trick to the diaphragm and its still leaking. OK correct if im wrong the purpose of the diaphragm is to seal where the top and bottom casing join. But my bov isnt leaking from the cap period. Its leaking from that small hole on the back.

Cant you just seal up the small hole in the back and see if it fixes the problem?

I tried that and the car wont build more than 15 psi, i take the plug out 18-20psi all day.

I need help . I know someone has experienced this before.

Does anyone know if the ngr performance diaphragms will work in the rs bov? They look just like the original diaphragm.

I have the ngr and it is perfect. They used a better diapham than greddy, it is supposed to be the replacement of the leaky greddy

I would look into a Forge if I were you, they are good and they sound a lot better than any GReddy in my opinion.

Do you have the ngr bov or are you using the diaphragm in a greddy bov?
