I have a Gs-t 98mod. And when i got the car I had the original BOV on the car. The car did not boost right when i floored the throttle fast. But when i got the car i just wanted to put on some new parts, like greedy RS bov and greddy turbo timer. But when i was going to change the bov i saw that the vacumhose intake on the original bow had been broken of. I did not care because i was changing the bow now. After installation I'm still loosing boost when I'm flooring the throttle, i hear the bov is fluttering. But when I'm 1/4 flooring the throttle the boost is building and the bov is not leaking. I have tried to regulate the bov from soft to hard. The best for me was to have it as hard as possible. But still leaks

Yes. The bov is now set at the hardest it can. When the car has been standing still and running, and when im going to drive again, the 1. and 2.gear get better boost than 3. and 4. gear. And only when im flooring the throttle. Not when i just throttle a little...1/4

From my experience, my type RS leaks everywhere. Here is my thread.
http://dsmtuner.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203273

My solution: Use RTV on both sides of the flange gasket, and taflon tape the all the screws.
My Greddy RS did not hold at 10 psi, it leaks bad. My car runs fine now after the fix. :thumb:

my type rs leaked real bad when i first put it on. But then a fellow dsmtuner member boost leak tested my car and took my bov off and put a rubber insert between the flange like a o-ring i guess. I don't know what its called but it sealed my leak and i also didn't put the vacuum line that went from the bov to the intake manifold that came with the type rs kit i kept the stock line on and it is a little too big so he put a rubber insert that sealed off around the vacuum line on the bov so it didn't leak either. Now i have no leaks at all.. So maybe that could be your problem.

Make sure you have the rubber peice that goes between the BOV flange connector and the UICP installed. Teflon tape the set screw and the vacuum nipple threads and ziptie all your vacuum hoses to the fittings. My RS is set full soft and doesn't leak a drop. The hard/soft setting has nothing to do with how much boost you're running. Full soft shouldn't leak regardless of what boost your running because both sides of the diaphram will be seeing 30psi on the top and 30psi on the valve, plus the spring pressure. There's no reason for it to leak at any setting. The hard/soft has more to do with the vacuum the engine makes.

Also, if its fluttering that's a problem, loosen it up. If it flutters then it means its not opening, so how could it be the valve that's leaking?
