I recently I changed my stock uicp with turbo xs typeh and adapter to greddy pipe with type rs bov including that 90 degree angle that mounts to stock intercooler. After I installed everything I tested the car by revved the car and the bov worked well and loud, I have it vented.
So I follow the procedure and proceed to drive around town testing out the bov. Well, it doesnt seem to work at all, my boost gauge seems same pressure as it was before which is around 14 psi. No pressure drop so I know its not leaking. All I get is compressor surge whenever I shift or let off gas under boost. Havent tried adjusting yet, but would that really make the difference? I just hope the bov aint deead.
Also, I do see some kind of different fitting for the vaccum like a 90 degree vaccum nipple that rotates but doesnt get tight, the previous owner said thats normal and was installed so that it can work universally with different cars.

I'm the biggest Honda supporter this site has ever seen, but even I know you need serious money and lots of forged stuff to get 400whp out of any Honda. You're car handles like garbage for 2 reasons. Its a boat. And the previous owner lowered it right into the ground. These aren't auto-x cars. Mitsu made them as comfortable but quick GT's, kind the civil and relaxed version of the Evo. They aren't track cars, they weren't designed to be. I'm amazed at how most people beat these poor things to death and then turn around and call them "unreliable". Yea its not a Toyota or Honda, but its also like 8-16 years old and most likely had a hard life. Give it a break.
