So there is not very much info on Q16, and since I am in the process of tuning my car I figured I would post what I am doing and what I have heard.

My Tune:
AFR: 12.5
Timing: 22-25degrees

Now I have heard that you should run q16 in the 13.5 afr range however, I dont really know. Now I can say that when my car went lean in the 13.5-14.0 range it felt much better, and the knock log looked better then it did at 12.0. I am also only running 16 degrees of timing currently.

So if anyone has any insight on Q16 I am looking for more info on the stuff.

Well, according to all the books i've read on turbo charging and engine tuning theory, peak torque is made at a richer mixture (around 12.5:1 on an N/A car) and turbo cars even on race gas with hgier boosts need to be righer than 13.5:1 for sure. Although it may not detonate, it wil still burn hot enough to put holes in pistons

I was about to say I have burned up a valve running lean and I was having minimum knock. I would never run leaner than a 12.5 afr like stated in any type of car. Most of the mustang guys tune to 12.5 afr even under boost.

On lower boost like 20 and below i've tuned my e85 to 13.0 afr but anything above that I keep it in the 12.5 range with about 20 - 22 timing

My buddies conquest runs on Q16 and the tuner kept him in the mid to low 12's AFR wise with like 16 - 19 timing across the board, but given that was also with a 100 shot.
