putting engine in this weekend

hey guys, soo i am finally putting the engine in my talon tsi this weekend. i was just wondering cause i dont have a manual boost controller or gauge yet, plans are in the works for one very soon, do i need one before i drive it or will i be ok for about a month or soo with out them? i will be putting the stock t-25 back on. thanks for the help

If you still have the boost control solenoid, your fine.

I know on 1Gs you can run simply on wastegate pressure 9lbs for us without a boost selaniod. I believe there are some write ups on here about how to run the van lines to do that.
