1G Proper fan wiring with a toggle switch

Since this topic has come up a few times lately I am submitting my wiring diagram for properly wiring your fans to a toggle switch. See the diagram and you should be cooling good in no time!

If you have a 1g, you can simply wire your toggle of choice to the fan switch on the bottom of the radiator, then GROUND the other side of your toggle (make sure you use the fan side not the ground side). You are just bypassing the factory temperature switch, that goes to ground after getting to a certain switch point. This mod is good, since it leaves the factory wiring in place for normal use, and you can demand them on with your switch. Some use the A/C switch for this particular mod, which demands the A/C fan on.

Do you remember the trick when you jumpered two ( I think it was the most outboard ones) contacts and turned on both fans at low speed?

I don't, because I don't run stock fans. I only use a trigger to fire 2 relays (1 for each fan) that comes directly from the battery 2 run 2 Spal fans. Sorry. That has been a while.
