i just took apart my door so i could get out my external door handle because the guy broke the keyu in the lock so i was goign to get it out. so i got it all back together after i fixed it sort of now when i roll my window up the window comes out of the track and the motor works really hard but on its way down it goes smoother? can any one help me i would liek to fix this with out having to take it to a shop

I had some problems with my power windows sticking a while ago, make sure all the bolts that hold the window motor to the door (they're on the inside of the door, underneath the door panel on my 2G) are tight. Dunno if that applies, but it's something to check.

thanx i'll try this tomarow when i get home from school i'll check everythign for tight ness

alright so i got homef rom school today trew bakc oin my valve cover ans tarted it up pulled out hte car and started taking the door apart once again looked every where for a loose bolt tightened everythign everythign was fine so i sat and played wiht the windows and i rememebred something the guy told me to do was to lube up all the rotating parts so i got a can of wd-40 and went at it i sprayed a liberal amount down te tracks and it instantly fixed it it now goes up and down easily but i ran out of wd-40 to do the other side window LOL thankx for all your help and i hope this helps some other people here now i just need to find a new motor

Rad, I love easy fixes like that. Although it can be the most frustrating when you spend hours on something that would have only taken a minute or two to fix if you had known the problem from the beginning. But then again, that's how you learn. :dsm:

wd- 40 only fixed my problem 4 a few days..I took all the stripping out and cleaned it untill no black came off on rag . And then lubed it..Good 4 2 months so far
